Twenty-five residents of Village Crest Health & Rehabilitation Center in New Milford had an opportunity Sunday to soak up some September sunshine and try their hand at fishing during the annual senior fishing day in Bridgewater. The event had been scheduled Sept. 12 but was postponed due to the weather.

The event is coordinated by five volunteers -- Arthur and Ellen Palmer, "Buffalo" Bob Ballard and Joe Adler of New Milford and Tom Murphy of Torrington.
